Preparing to Launch a English – German Translation Company
If you’re planning on starting an English German translation company, there are many different things you’re going to have to think about. It’s not as easy as it sounds, although if you become successful, you’ll have a full list of customers ready to send you work. To really get into doing translation German English (Übersetzung deutsch englisch) work, you’ll need several different resources.

Of course, before you can really start your translation company, you’re going to need some financing. This can be the most difficult part of starting up your company. There are several things you can do to finance your company, though. You can go to a bank and apply for a small business loan. You can also borrow money from investors, making them silent partners in your business. You would, of course, eventually pay these investors back. You can also try to finance your business on personal credit cards or a personal loan, although this can be risky if your business fails.
You’ll also need to purchase some supplies such as dictionaries. Even if you are fluent in German and English, it never hurts to have a dictionary or two on hand. This is especially true if you’re translating older documents that may use words or phrases that aren’t used often today. You can purchase some translation software for your computer, but these programs aren’t always the most accurate. Some also don’t have extensive dictionaries and may not include all the words you need. You can use them to check your work or as a supplement, but no translation company should ever rely on software as its main source of information.
Finally, you’re also going to have to do some marketing to get your business off the ground. If you don’t, no one will know that you can translate German to English and vice versa. You may need to take out an ad in your local newspaper, put up fliers around town, and even look at creating a website for your business. While some of this may seem expensive, remember that without advertising, you’re not going to bring in any new clients, and that means you won’t make any money.
